Despite UX’s buzzword status, many organizations still struggle to maintain a stable and effective UX function. In my experience, a lack of strategic thinking around issues of organizational change can often derail even the most well-meaning efforts at the introduction and institutionalization of new methods or processes. The goal of this talk is to present a model for thinking strategically about embedding the user experience function into organizations. I will discuss what I see as the three faces of the Strategic UX triangle, methods, processes, and business, as well as the symptoms of strengths or weaknesses in one or more areas
